“ We had a lovely lunch here. Very busy. The friendliest staff who pre warned us that there would be a short wait. Always appreciate this! Menu is priced very fairly. So good to see a small independent business thriving during very challenging times ”

- Kay Crane -

“ Great local cafe. We had coffees and Welsh cakes but the selection was amazing and cakes looked great too! Coffee was 10/10. ”

“ Good points - good table availability upon arrival on Monday 17th June. Clean and tidy. Good choice on the menu. Food was cooked speedily and very well. Food was delicious! Thick bacon, yummy sausages, fresh bread... So good! (2 breakfast baguettes and a full English). Portions were a very good size. Very nice tasting coffee and the latte was perfect, not too milky and didn't need an extra shot like some other places. Prices reflected the good quality of the food too! A large choice of cakes which look fantastic, but I didn't try any. The slate decorations were nice and the photography on sale gave a nice touch of local scenery. Points to improve on (personal opinion) - Paying 80p extra for alternative milk is an injustice to those with lactose intolerance and vegans alike. A litre of oat milk in the supermarket is £1.50 so 80p for a small tot makes a cuppa quite pricey indeed! Most cafés nowadays don't charge extea for alternative milks. There is no offer of a free cuppa with a breakfast, unlike some other very good cafes in Swansea county, they're all additional at Cariad. The chairs are hard and upright, uncomfortable for those with back/hip issues. Had to ask 3 times for a glass of tap water, it had been forgotten twice. I like mushrooms a lot, but there was a very large portion of them in my baguette which may put some people off. ”

“ We are so lucky that we live up the road from Caffi Cariad! We enjoy the bunches regularly. The staff are friendly, the service is great and the seasonal food is excellent. Not forgetting a wide range of delicious coffees. Diolch Team Cariad. Highly recommended. ”

“ Popped in for breakfast, food was good especially the Welsh breakfast with cockles and lava bread. The table was a bit of a squeeze, there were 4 of us crowded around a very small table but apart from that it was a pleasant experience. ”

- A K -

“ Proper cafe, decent coffee. The chips are lovely, and the chicken goujons in the children's meal were excellent. I'm afraid the mushrooms in my omelet were well part their best - tough and fishy. I think you're best sticking to egg and chips, which I've had there before and we're perfect. ”
